March 8th: Greendrinks Counts Down to the Science Festival

Published by bgreendrinks on

Just ten days before the 2nd Annual Maine Science Festival kicks off in Downtown Bangor, Greendrinks will be giving you a sneak peak of what’s in store.  Join us on March 8th from 5-8pm at the Maine Discovery Museum with hosts Maine Science Festival and Edwards, Faust & Smith, CPAs.

The Science Festival and Discovery Museum will be teaming up to provide scintillating science activites for the whole family, and the fine folks at Edwards, Faust & Smith serve up great local beer, wine, and spirits, as well as the best seasonal food Maine has to offer.  All three organizations will talk a little bit about what it is they are doing to make our community greener.

As usual, Greendrinks is family-friendly, although you’ll need an ID to drink alcohol. There’s a suggested $5 donation, and you’ll want to bring your own drinking vessel. If you don’t, we’ll have compostable cups for $1 or custom glassware for $5. See you there!
Cheers!

And here’s a little about our hosts:

The Maine Science Festival, launched in 2015, is held annually with events across Downtown Bangor, Maine and at the Cross Insurance Center. At our inaugural festival, more than 10,000 people celebrated Maine science at over 45 events (panel discussions, hands-on activities, workshops, and exhibits) during the weekend.   The mission of the festival is to stimulate interest in science among the general population, to heighten awareness of the impact of science on everyday life, and to demonstrate the diversity of scientific enterprise in Maine.

The 2nd Annual Maine Science Festival runs March 18-20. Join the fun and find out why Science is Everywhere!
