This Little Greendrinks Goes To Market

Greendrinks is back for a warm August evening with the fine folks of theBangor Farmers Market, and we want you there! We’ll gather on Tuesday August 9th from 5 to 8 p.m. outdoors at the Pocket Park next to Central Street Farmhouse, in the heart of Downtown Bangor.

During the festivities, you can learn about this amazing organization and all the fantastic farmers who bring us fresh, local produce every Sunday in the summer and every 1st & 3rd Sunday in the winter. The Farmer’s market also offers bonus Maine Harvest Bucks for people on limited incomes. This incredible incentive helps SNAP shoppers buy more healthy food, Maine farmers gain new customersr, and keep more food dallars in the local economy.

Of course we’ll have a cornucopia of healthy snacks from the market as well as cold local beer and homemade wine from Central Street Farmhouse.

As always, Greendrinks is a free family-friendly event, so bring the kiddos! There is a suggested $5 donation, and we ask that you bring your own drinking vessel. If you forget, we’ll have compostable cups available for $1, and custom glassware for $5. Proceeds from the event go toward helping Bangor Greendrinks provide grants to fund worthy projects that help make Bangor greener. See you there!
