July 10th: Peace, Love, & Greendrinks

Join us to celebrate peace and love as the incredible folks at COESPACE, Mabel Wadsworth Center and Partners for Peace – formerly Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance come together to host Greendrinks on July 10th, from 5-8pm at Coespace.

For this summer evening, we will have beer on tap from 2 Feet Brewing and red and white wine from Central Street Farmhouse. Food is being provided by Basil Creek. COESPACE is generously sponsoring all of the beer and food for the event, so kudos to them!

As a reminder, Greendrinks is free and family-friendly (BRING THE KIDDOS) — we ask for a $5 donation, and to keep things low-waste, you should bring your own drinking vessel. If you forget, we’ll have compostable cups available for $1, and custom glassware for $5. All event proceeds go directly toward improving sustainability and community in the Bangor region through our Green Grant program

Mabel Wadsworth Center:
Mabel Wadsworth Center is the only not-for-profit, private, independent feminist health center in Maine and one of just a handful nationwide. Their mission is to provide health care using a feminist model focused on sexual and reproductive health through education, advocacy, and clinical services.

Partners for Peace – formerly Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance:
Mission: Our mission is to engage individuals and the community to end domestic violence in Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties. We provide support, advocacy, and safety planning to anyone affected by domestic abuse. We foster safe and healthy relationships through prevention, education, and training. Together with our community we recognize the nature of abuse, respond to it, and change the conditions which lead to it.

Vision: We believe that every person deserves to live in peace and equality and that just and respectful relationships can change the world.
