Jan 8th: Orono Brewing Company

Published by bgreendrinks on

We thought we’d start 2019 off right, and what better way to roll into the new year, than with our friends at Orono Brewing Company. If you haven’t been to see their beautiful new home at 61 Margin, now is the perfect chance. Come enjoy a beer with us and take in all the local artistry and craftsmanship that’s transformed a run-down concrete plant into something wicked.

As a reminder, Greendrinks is free and family-friendly (BRING THE KIDDOS) — we ask for a $5 donation. All event proceeds go directly toward improving sustainability and community in the Bangor region through our Green Grant program. We’ll be announcing our most recent Green Grant during the talk we give at 6:30.
We hope to see you there!

Cheers!
The Bangor Greendrinks Familia

Here’s a bit more about our host:
Orono Brewing Company:
We love beer. We believe in paying attention to every detail to create the best possible beer we can brew. It all starts with Brewmaster Asa Marsh-Sachs and his passion for brewing. He combines the art and science of brewing masterfully. Quality control, creativity, and years of brewing experience give Asa the tools to create fantastic ales. Super filtered water, mineral additions to mimic water sources around the globe, high quality malts and hops, yeast management, and extremely high standards are all part of Asa’s system. Asa works our custom built stainless steel glycol-jacketed brewery to its maximum capacity, repping out brew days and keeping the beer super fresh. None of our beer is filtered except the Kolsch and Cream Ale. We have tasting rooms in Orono and Bangor, Maine. Our flagship location features a full kitchen, tasting room and production brewery. Bangor features a tasting room with snacks (feel free to bring your own food to Bangor) with a small brewery and barrel-aging space.
