June 11th: Greendrinks Map Party
Bangor Greendrinks is wicked proud to announce the release of the 2nd Edition of our Bangor Area Trails Map & Guide on Tuesday, June 11th from 5-8 pm on the rooftop of Bangor Savings Bank‘s new corporate headquarters at 11 Hamlin Way overlooking the Bangor Waterfront.
Please join us in celebrating Bangor’s many incredible trails with a night of local beer, wine, food, and music. On tap, we will have Buoy207, a collaborative IPA between Buoy Local and Geaghan Brothers Brewing Company. Moe’s Original BBQ-Bangor, ME will be serving up mouth-watering snacks. And Great North Woods will be performing a variety of Americana tunes.
As always, Greendrinks is a free family-friendly event, so bring the kiddos! There is a suggested $5 donation, and we ask that you bring your own drinking vessel to reduce waste. If you forget, we’ll have compostable cups available for $1, and custom glassware for $5. Proceeds from the event go toward helping Bangor Greendrinks provide grants to fund worthy projects that help make Bangor greener.
The newly updated map & guide features over 150 miles of trails and trail networks throughout the Bangor area managed by over a dozen different organizations. Folks can use the map and guide to find great riverfront strolls, solitary walks in the woods, challenging single track for mountain biking, and winter trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat biking.
A huge thank you to Center for Community GIS for their cartography and design services to create and update Bangor Area Trails.
The Bangor Area Trails – Map & Guide is made possible through a Bangor Greendrinks Green Grant and the generous support of Bangor Savings Bank. It will be available for free at the Map Party, all future Bangor Greendrinks events, and locations throughout the Bangor Region.
Happy Trails!
