Aug 11: Greendrinks Finds Refuge in the Wild

Mainers know that we have to make the most of summer while it’s here! Help us celebrate all things outdoors and getting outside in Maine by joining us for our next virtual event on August 11th from 5-8 pm. This event will be an online social gathering like the ones we’ve been doing recently, but we encourage you to take it outside if you can. There’ll also be an opportunity to win tickets to a unique experience in the wild!

For August, we’re featuring the fantastic Hirundo Wildlife Refuge. Located only about 15 miles from Bangor, Hirundo has seven miles of trails spread across 2,460 acres. They also have all kinds of amazing programs, including free canoe and kayak rentals. For more information about Hirundo: https://www.hirundomaine.org.

Furthermore, we love it when you let us know that you’re attending the event. During this month’s event, be sure to post messages, photos, and short videos that highlight you being outdoors or your favorite places to visit when spending time outside. The post on the event wall with the most likes will win a $25 Buoy Local gift card and two tickets to a Full Moon Paddle at Hirundo Wildlife Refuge! We’ll also be fundraising to support Hirundo’s important work. If financially feasible, we’d ask you to consider donating your usual $5 to Greendrinks, and all of the money that we raise on August 11th and for a few weeks after will be passed on to Hirundo.
