Oct 13: Together Place
It’s that time of the month again, when we gather together in place! Join Greendrinks for our next virtual event on October 13th from 5-8 pm. This event will be an online social gathering like the ones we’ve been doing recently, but maybe safely gather with others (social distance, of course), and perhaps even take it outside if you can.
For October, we are featuring the important work of Together Place Peer Run Recovery Center. As they note, “Empowering Maine adults in mental health or substance use recovery to take leadership in their own lives.” Together Place is particularly interested in combining arts and culture with the recovery movement for the purpose of neighborhood revitalization. Also for this month, we’re going to shake up how we give away the $25 Buoy Local gift card! Everyone who likes and shares Together Place’s intro video, once it’s available, by 8 pm on October 13th will be entered for a chance to be the randomly selected winner of the gift card!
But we still love it when you let us know that you’re attending the event! Be sure to post messages, photos, and short videos on the event wall to let us know that you’re attending.
We’ll also be fundraising to support Together Place’s important work. If financially feasible, we’d ask you to consider donating your usual $5 to Greendrinks, and all of the money that we raise on October 13th and for a while after will be passed on to Together Place.
