Bangor Greendrinks is wicked proud to announce the release of the 3rd Edition of our Bangor Area Trails Map & Guide sponsored by the amazing folks at Bangor Savings Bank. Join us for our next virtual event on Tuesday, September 14th from 5-8 pm as we celebrate the release of the map. This event will be an online social gathering like the ones we’ve been doing recently. Attendees are encouraged to safely gather with friends.

Maps will be distributed to various locations in the Greater Bangor Area later this week, and the maps will be free! Be sure to get yours when they’re available. The map is available to view online at www.bangorgreendrinks.org/map

The newly updated map & guide features over 150 miles of trails and trail networks throughout the Bangor area managed by over a dozen different organizations. Folks can use the map and guide to find great riverfront strolls, solitary walks in the woods, challenging single track for mountain biking, and winter trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat biking.

A huge thank you to Center for Community GIS for their cartography and design services to create and update Bangor Area Trails.
The Bangor Area Trails – Map & Guide 3rd Edition is made possible through the generous support of Bangor Savings Bank.
In honor of the map release, we’re also going to be raising funds for the Penobscot Region NEMBA. This great non-profit does a lot of trail improvement and maintenance in the Greater Bangor Area. For more information, check out their FB page: https://www.facebook.com/prnemba/.
If feasible, we’d ask you to consider donating your usual $5 or more, and all of the money that we raise on September 14th and for a few weeks after will be passed on to Penobscot Region NEMBA to help fund trail improvement and maintenance in the area.
We also love it when you let us know that you’re attending the event! Be sure to post messages, photos, and short videos on the event wall to let us know that you’re attending. Group shots are encouraged (again, safely).
Finally, be sure to watch when the Bangor Greendrinks Chair, Mark, goes live for “the talk” around 6:30 pm on September 14th. This is the “Facebook Live” portion of the evening.
Happy Trails!
The Bangor Greendrinks Familia
