Dec 14: Brave Noise
Help us make some noise as we participate in the Brave Noise campaign for the month of December! Join us for our next virtual event on Tuesday, December 14th from 5-8 pm. This event will be an online social gathering like the ones we’ve been doing recently. Attendees are encouraged to safely gather with friends.
In partnership with Central Street Farmhouse, we’ll be taking part in the Brave Noise campaign, which advocates for “safe spaces and inclusive environments by requesting breweries be transparent with their policies and commit to long-term work.” As part of the campaign, Bangor Greendrinks and Central Street Farmhouse have developed codes of conduct. Furthermore, people in the Bangor area will be able to purchase kits of Brave Noise beer, a pale ale, at Central Street Farmhouse to brew at home, with part of the proceeds from the sales going to a local organization that supports the general mission of Brave Noise, in this case Partners for Peace.
Central Street Farmhouse will be selling the Brave Noise beer kits throughout the month of December. As far as we know, we’re the only ones in the state of Maine north of Portland participating in this important campaign. So contact Central Street Farmhouse (https://centralstreetfarmhouse.com) now and help further the pursuit of safe spaces and inclusive environments!

If you’d prefer another option, we’d ask you to consider donating your usual $5 or more, and all of the money that we raise on December 14th and for a few weeks after will be passed on to Partners for Peace.
We’re also selling hard copies of our Bangor Area Trails map for $5, with all proceeds going to the same organization; to purchase the map, see our PayPal site: https://www.paypal.com/instantc…/checkout/2QABGAWQVGS26…
We also love it when you let us know that you’re attending the event! Be sure to post messages, photos, and short videos on the event wall to let us know that you’re attending. Group shots are encouraged (again, safely).
Finally, be sure to watch when the Bangor Greendrinks Chair, Mark, goes live for “the talk” around 6:30 pm on December 14th. This is the “Facebook Live” portion of the evening.
See you at the next virtual event when we make some noise for the Brave Noise campaign!
Cheers!
