The Good of the Hive – Mural Project

Bangor Greendrinks is partnering with the Rock & Art Shop and Bangor Arts Award winner, Annette Sohns-Dodd to bring an internationally renowned muralist to Bangor to create a large bee-themed mural in Downtown Bangor as part of The Good of the Hive.  The Good of the Hive is a global art project and organization founded by artist Matt Willey on his personal commitment to hand-paint 50,000 honey bees, the number in a healthy, thriving hive. He has painted bee murals all over the world including at the Smithsonian. The project also includes an outreach component to encourage people to take action to help save the bees and will serve as a showpiece to spur the creation of future public art in Bangor.
